My laptop keeps going to a blue screen, it won't let me do anything. I can even clean the drive, want to see if I can get any help on here

What, if anything, has changed recently? New software, updated drivers. etc?

What brand is your laptop?
How old is it?
Is it being used on couch / carpet / with pets around?
When you go into BIOS, is there "Hardware Info" with temperatures?

It is an older gateway, no pets it sits on the desk. Was working one minute I was on YouTube then the power died,I plugged it in went to turn it on and it keeps trying to fix a problem. Goes to the blue screen and I have tried to reset it tried to wipe all files but it keeps telling me that it was not able to because it ran into a problem.
