I only know I turn on my HP windows 10 desk top and after the HP logo it goes to a white screen and stays white !!! What has happened and what do I do !!? ?

On my windows 10 desktop comp , I turned it on and the HP logo came on as if all was normal but then it went to a white screen and is staying white !! What is going on and what do I do ?
