i brought a aspire one laptop off a school and need to do a reset so i can put stuff on it like itunes and skype

The easiest thing to do is to uninstall any un-needed programs by using the "Programs and Features" application within Control Panel.

The word "Reset" is reserved for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1; I do not know if you have either of those two operating systems intact or not.
