Hello,
what cord do i need to get sound and picture from my pc to tv

If you have a hdmi connection on both your pc and tv, then that is the best way.

Otherwise, you need a dvi cable(better) or vga cable to get the picture, and a separate set of audio cables to get the sound to the tv.

hdmi (assuming you've got a newer hdtv and a computer with a newer gpu)
