Guys, last night my laptop I use for work died. I am in need of a new laptop. Only problem is I have no clue what is good and what is not, so I will give some things I do and see if you can help me.

1. I do tons of work on the usually Excel and Blubeam and Navis Works. I believe a faster CPU and more RAM would help?
2. I am looking for something that has a 17" screen
3. I want to keep it under $1,000.

Please help me. I am confined to my Microsoft Surface right now and its painful!

I'd probably be looking at either of these twofrom Newegg or either of these two from Dell

They're all Intel Core I7 systems running Windows 10 and 16GB of RAM. The Dell systems have smaller screens though.

HP - OMEN by HP 17.3" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 12GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX 580 - 1TB Hard Drive - HP sandblasted hairline brushing and carbon fiber

That is what I am kind looking at now. IS this a little over kill? I truly wont be using it for gaming, but I want to RAM and processor speed to be adequate for a while.

I would avoid HP/Acer, never seen anyone I know have either of these without issues within 1-2 Years plus their after sales service is iffy.

Go for Dell/Asus, Dell alllows warranty even after self upgrades.
