Good day. First of all I would like to apologize for my English, as I am not a native speaker. I posted my question to a different forum too, but with no luck, so I am posting here too. Hope it does not matter.
I will be 18 soon and as a birthday gift, I am getting a new laptop, which is handy, since I am applying to college next year. That said, the gift has to come a bit earlier than expected, because my last laptop - Toshiba Satellite L-850 - died out of nowhere due to hardware problem. I have a big problem choosing a new one, so I would be moost grateful for your help.
Here are my requirements:
1. What is your budget?
900€-1000€
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
I don´t care about the size. No, really. I have used notebooks of pretty much every possible size and I can adapt to literally anything.
3. What screen resolution do you want?
Same answer as above.
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Portable would be nicer, but I am not picky in this category either.
5. How much battery life do you need?
I am too used to battery that lasts 30 minutes, so I am not actually sure? More than 2.5 hours would be nice.
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
OK, so this is actually the most important thing to me. The laptop must be able to play Dragon Age: Inquisition on Medium at least, maybe with some hair mods thrown in. Inquisition is the most needy game of mine and I really want to be able to play it, maybe even with recording. Maybe even Dishonored 2, I know it´s not out yet, but it would be greatif I could play that, considering Dishonored was my favourite stealth game, so if specs are already out....
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Definitely Photo editing and normal school stuff.
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
At least 1TB.
9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

DVD ROM is a necessity. Bluray is an optional bonus and I can live without it.
12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I have bad experience with my very dead Toshiba, but I am not going to sneeze at any good laptop of theirs. From my own research (which is not sufficient, considering my knowledge on area of laptops is... lacking) I have best chance with ASUS. That said, no HP. I have read bad things about their laptops. As I have said before though, my knowledge of laptops is terrible, so I may be mistaken.
13. What country do you live in?
Slovak republic or Slovakia
14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
- I am used to working with Windows, so that system would be best. If there is any chance of Windows 7, I would be esthatic.
- I would be really happy if this could be resolved today or tomorow, as I need a new laptop for school purposes as soon as possible.
