Planning to use it for gaming but not hardcore. Which is better and why? Thanks!

But what about the GPU? nvidia GT820m vs nvidia 820m. will it be a big factor when gaming?

sorry I missed that. Yes, 840m will make a huge difference. Go with the ACER.
