Question Help with portable scanning via wifi to the cloud for elderly parents

Ok - need some great minds on this, please.
My parents are in their 80's, I live 70 miles away.
When they receive letters or hospital appointments I would like to find a way for my parents to scan the letter so I can view it online - either cloud or on my mobile. They don't use Whatsapp but they do have wifi. BTW they are not English speakers so cannot always read the letters.
Any hardware or solutions where they can scan or take pictures of the document (not mobile phone - but dedicated camera) and that's it, instantly it gets uploaded without any further button pushing? Thanks

Thanks - but I was thinking of a wand scanner or digital camera. As they don't have a PC and the Printer will be too big for them.

Epson (and others for that matter) have wand type and very small document scanners. For example:

Why not just use the camera on a smart phone?

There are services that do what you are looking for that are used for collaboration purposes.

Like this: https://frame.io/features/c2c

Likely not what you are looking for.

Seems you could use Microsoft Teams or even Zoom to share documents as well. They take picture and upload/share via the collaboration app.

Great - thanks this looks promising. I wonder if the scanner can work remotely - as in via my parent's wifi network to my mobile wherever I may be - or does it have to be in the same room? That would be great.
I tried to show my mum how to use the smart phone - but she cant remember and any alerts are in English so she gets confused. All pics on her phone are backed up - which I can access - but if she cant take a picture its useless. She also struggles to switch camera mode from front to back!

The device would connect to their wifi.

What is your parents native tongue? Can the phone's default language not be changed to use that?
They speak Gujarati, we tried changing the language- but certain words cannot be translated - for example there isn't a word for 'swipe' ( e.g swipe left) and words like Enter - translate as 'calculate' and Next translate as go forward. If you've never used new tech or computers (even mouse) its a nightmare. They feel they are too old to learn new tricks!
The pains I've had to show how the remote control (up / down keys) for SKY box works the controls on screen!!!!

Understood. Definitely not a precise thing, I get it.
