Help with Samsung TV Connection to my AVR and speakers

I have a Denon AVR-X3100w receiver that I have historically used to power my entire home theatre system. I bought a Samsung UN82MU8000. I have an
Xbox, Fire TV, and Direct TV box going into the receiver. The TV has one of those one box connections to the TV. I have tried everything I know to do and just can’t get anything to work with this TV. About to give up but hoping someone knows this setup and can help. Thanks!!!

It makes use of Samsung’s One Connect box which has Digital Optical Out.

Digital In: Optical / Coaxial

The optical audio output may not be on by default. You may also have to turn off the TV speakers. Check the owners manual.
You may also have to assign the optical jack on the receiver to an input name in the receiver input set up menu.
