i did a system restore on my laptop now it has a black screen with a blinking curser

the reason i did a system restore was because my internet exploer kept clicking off so i tried to do a system restore to return it back to factory setting i kept pressing the alt key and the f10 key till it went into system restore the only thing it did wsas the screen was black with a blinking white curser tried to reboot it wont reboot or go in safe mode

A Windows System Restore is much different process than a "restore to factory settings".

What make and model of laptop do you own? What version of Windows is running?
Have you tried using a different web browser like Google chrome?

That Alt + f10 combo probably took you to the Recovery Console which is a feature for for advanced users.

You probably should try a System Restore - to an earlier date - as your first step in fixing your problem.
