I have been trying for 2 days to sign in Microsoft Account on laptop. It by passes my password then flashes New User then settles on a screensaver then nothing!! It's my daughters laptop and 8 am struggling. I've tried restarting in safe mode but unsuccessful. I beg anyone who can help!

Yes. There is only one account. It is my daughters laptop. It's on two months old.

Its only two months old. It sets up fine until you ho to enter her password as usual then it flashes briefly new user then freezes on a screen save.

What is the make/model of the laptop? What, if anything, changed/installed just before this problem started happening?

It is a Jumper Tech laptop. I think it was Avast being installed recently but I cant get on to remove it now.

I sadly use it for homeschooling so it's a nightmare not working properly.

Do you have a backup of your documents/files, just in case?
