I too am not impressed with the new iPad. The price is right. However, I still cannot use the Apple Pen on either of my 2017 iPads. I have invested in Paper and its pen as well as Penultimate for my note taking needs.

For pen computing, I feel that Apple missed the boat. Alternatives to the Apple Pen have been available since the first generation of iPads.
