I was thinking about buying the Turtle Beach PX22 but to be honest, I have no interest in using it for gaming, rather just using these as headphones to listen to my music on the laptop. Does anyone know if these or turtle beaches can be used as regular headphones on laptops? And if their audio output is decent? I've read the latter is. Thanks all and sorry for the random question. - Olly

if you just want headphones then you should be buying headphones instead of a headset i would say. you will likely get something a bit better sounding. generally gaming headsets are fine for games but in many cases are not so good for movies and music.

for just a bit more you may want to look at the creative aurvana live! headphones ($70). they are rated as one of the best "sounding" headphones for the price. the sennheiser hd518 is also a pretty decent headphone for about $70

since the px22 is about $60 its only a modest price increase and if you do not need a mic, worthwhile (in my opinion)

you can use headsets as normal headphones yes.
