Hisense tv volume

How I turn the volume up r down on a hisense tv. There is a small black button at the bottom that only turns it on

Providing the exact model of the TV may help I would guess Hisense made more than one TV with more than one volume button location. Remote does not work? Try a generic programmable remote?
