So I have an Home Audio System with 2 speakers and I want to use them for the PC. The problem is that they just have the 3.5mm plug like a normal headphone, but when I plug them into the PC they have very low volume even with settings maxed out. I know that they don't have an amplifier but can I amplify them without buying an amplifier?

Solution
No, you need an amplifier, that's what an amplifier is for. You can find them for pretty cheap. The normal ports on your computer don't supply enough power to move the speakers, it's like trying to drive a car without gas. The amplifier is the gas.
