The 2014 Civics get CVT transmissions finally, but, they still use the same engine as the 2006 Civic, the R18A1 engine! Hopefully they'll update the engine for next year. Toyota will update the Prius for next year, ought to be interesting, and Subaru should release better hybrids in a few years, Chevy should upgrade the engine in the Volt in a few years.
