Horizontal red line appeared out of nowhere

so I was just in chrome watching Netflix and everything was just fine, didn't touch the laptop what so ever and out of nowhere a thin red horizontal line appeared across my screen can anyone help me out?

My laptop is the Star Wars Special Edition Pavilion 15-an097nr Signature Edition

Is it in warranty still? If it is, contact HP.

If not, does it change shape/size/dissapear when the screen is moved or flexed a bit? Maybe a loose connection, maybe a failing screen. Probably not a video card issue.

No it does not change shape at all except when i drag programs over it like discord it forms gaps in the line

Likely an LCD issue, but re-seating connections is free, so try that first.
