Mainly, I want to watch youtube on TV, but gaming on tv would be great too
My laptop is a lenovo laptop G70-70, it has wi-di (Its not a typo, widi is not wifi)
and I have a non-smart TF, samsung TV I dont know what kind of TV it is, theres nothing written on it besides samsung and the all documentation of it is long lost
In what ways can I connect my pc to the tv?

Your Samsung HDTV should have a HDMI port. I would be very surprised if it didn't since it is basically a standard feature of all HDTVs to the best of my knowledge. That is the best way to output audio and video from your laptop to the HDTV. All you need is a HDMI cable.

It is possible to use WiDi but your Samsung HDTV most likely does not have a WiDi receiver. You would need to purchase an external WiDi receiver for your HDTV. There is also a bit of lag; not sure how much though. For watching movies / surfing with your HDTV it will be fine. But the lag may be annoying when playing games.

Well, I have in my laptop, but I cant access the one in the TV, (the setup is really really bad...)
Are there any other options other than HDMI?

I'm using my laptop with a 32inch tv screen. its just using a HDMI cable. might have some menu settings that tells the tv that thats what you want to do like how you do with vcr/ cable/ antenna......

Ive taken another look at it, and I can reset it up, and Ive looked into some shops online, and I see that there are allot of HDMI ports that are just "HDMI" and other that are "HDMI port male to female" - what does it mean? (and how can I know if I need the regular type or that type)
