How do I replace me power button and board with cable myself.

Most power buttons are finger sized and shaped for our convenience. All they do is press down on a far smaller micro-switch.

If your button is removeable, try poking the micro-switch itself and see if it powers the device up. If that switch is faulty, it's a far bigger problem because desoldering it and soldering another on is very delicate work.
