T rt ting yo hook up a brand new tv to a direct line to direct tv. NO box is available because we are in an rv park. WESTINGHOUSE says we can't return the tv and we can't get it to work without a boc. Helo please.

I am in an rv park. Just bought a new westinghouse tv that won't work. We don't have a box but we are connected directly to a direct tv line. Westinghouse says we need a box or it won't work. We had just borrowed a sanyo that worked great. Can anyone help?

If a Sanyo TV works without a DTV box then your new TV should too.
Your trailer park doesn't have the same type of system that they use for residential accounts. These require some type of box for each TV.
Not knowing if the signal is treated like a over the air or cable try scanning the channels for both types.
