how can i repair a laptop that does turns on but the screen wont show anything, its completely black

Would help if you add some details about exact model and background to the issue. Did this happen out of no-where one day, was it dropped, liquid damage? What did you try already if anything? Maybe a dead motherboard, dead screen, backlight.
