how can i upgrade my galaxy note 1 to 4.4 android version?

i can't upgrade my apps, and most of thw new ones aren't even compatible with my device...

Unfortunately I don't know of any way to just install the update on that particular phone. At least not through conventional means.

I do believe it could "maybe" be done if one were to go through rooting the phone and using additional software to allow for the install, but personally I don't recommend doing it unless you are really confident that you won't kill the phone, and it isn't under any kind of warrantee (as that would certainly void it.
