How do I attach a recorded voice message to a text message, on my LG Aristo?

Ignorance of basic mobile phone functions

1. Open a new message, or a message you have already added text to and wish to attach the file to.
2. Tap the 3 dots in the upper right of the window.
3. Tap "Attach".
4. Choose the type of file you wish to attach from the list that pops up.
5. Send the message.

NOTE: The message is now not just a text/sms message but a multimedia message, so the person you are sending to has to be able to receive those as well.
