How do I connect a sony bluray player with only hdmi output to a receiver with no hdmi input?

how do i connect a sony blu-ray player with only hdmi out put to a receiver with no hdmi input is there someway to do it through the HDTV box?

There are two ways, neither of which has anything to do with an HDTV box.
1. Connect the audio out of the TV to your receiver. Your TV may have an optical audio out, headphone out, or line level audio out. Depending on what inputs your receiver has you may need a DAC like this one

2. If you TV doesn't have an audio output then you can use an HDMI switch with audio extractor (or just an HDMI audio extractor) to get an audio output.
