how do i connect my logitech headset to use with my phone

I am trying to set up a home business and i need to use a usb logitech set but I can't figure out how to set it up to answer calls or send calls using the headset

Err, if you have a normal phone then a USB headset won't work with it. You need either phone software on the PC (IP telephone or POTS) or a headset with a base station that works with your phone.

What kind of phone do you have? Normal plain-old?
