How do i connect my Playstation 1 to my new Samsung uhd tv

Cannot get my Playstation 1 to connect to my new Samsung uhd tv. TV keeps saying there is no signal after we put on a converter box. There is no picture or sound..HELP!!

Tell us how you are connecting the playstation, i.e what cables you are using, and what converter box.

We are using a composite A/V to HDMI converter box & originally used a 2.0 high speed woven braided cable on it (guy at electronics store suggested) but didn't work. Ended up switching it with the one we ran from our new TV to satellite receiver. No luck there either. Thanks for answering!

unfortunately, the signal from the PS1 will probably not convert to HDMI, even through the converter box (i have had the same issue before) the jump is just too much to convert, and the TV would probably see such a weak signal, or such a low resolution, that it will not display a signal. I have put in a link for an RCA cable, but be ready for the picture to be produced in 4:3 instead of 16:9 (widescreen) due to the age of the playstation, and the fact that 16:9 screens were not the 'norm' then. http/www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/282249922848?chn=ps&adgroupid=42305674521&rlsatarget=pla-278515755789&abcId=923886&adtype=pla&merchantid=7357344&poi=&googleloc=9045854&device=c&campaignid=738081070&crdt=0
You need to make sure that the TV has an A/V input (yellow, red & white inputs)

Ok..confused...we are using an RCA cable..the one that came with PS1..we have it going from PS1 to converter box (input) ??

Ah, ok, i thought you were using an RF cable, my bad. Ok, will need to plug the RCA connections straight into the A/V input TV (if the TV has one)
Give that a go and report back.

I don't have A/V inputs on tv...that is why we were going thru converter box ( input from RCA cables output to HDMI..My husband is thinking there is something on TV that you have to switch to tell tv you are inputting game console on tv? I will probably have to call Samsung...
