How do I connect stereo speakers up to a hdtv

I have Kenwood speakers that have 2wires coming out of it. Can I hook them up to my Samsung hdtv . And what parts would I need .my speakers don't have a Jack on them.

It sounds like you have just regular speakers and not self-powered speakers. If your TV doesn't have speaker terminals (most don't) then you need an amplifier to take the output (either RCA plug or optical) from the TV and boost it to a level that will make the speakers audible.
