How do I decide between HP and dell

Solution
HP is a better manufacturer in my opinion.
Yes I have had issues with their pcs before (which is why I now use a custom) but they have terrific support!
The sent 4 technicians over to our house for free and couldnt resolve the issue so they refunded me fully even though I had the pc for 10 months.
Dell on the other hand are the opposite, once you have a problem your basically on your own.
I've never had one but have heard bad reports about their Alienwares especially

Based on this information I'd go with the Dell. http/www.laptopmag.com/articles/laptop-brand-ratings
While I would agree that Dell and HP did in fact blow major donkey for the last few years, Dell jumped in ranks to 2nd place over the last year. Which at least suggests that someone up the chain knows where they are taking the brand.
