How do I disable dictation so I can send audio text messages.

There should be two mic buttons, one is for speech to text the other is for recording.

The mic icon near the field you type in would be to send a recording, the mic icon somewhere in the keyboard area would be for speech to text.

On my text keyboard. Only 1 mic

According to all the documents on how to send voice text messages, there is a mic icon next to the text field you hold to speak and record, maybe you are just tapping it? You need to hold it while you are recording, then release when done.

There is no other mic. I just use the voice recorder and send that via text message. Thanks anyway.
