How do I embed a url Word 2007?

I've read the instructions that say to go to Insert > Links > Hyperlink, but I get a window to browse for a file. I just want to link to a webpage on the Internet, somewhat like how these forums allow posters to insert a URL.

You're getting to the right dialog box. In the bottom input field (labeled "Address"), just paste the web address of the webpage you're trying to link to.
