How do I know If my headphone jack is broken on my laptop

If your headphones work with another device like your cell phone, but it does not work with your laptop, then that is a positive sign that something isn't right with the laptop.

It could simply be a driver issue in which case you should uninstall the audio driver and go to the official website of whatever brand laptop you have to search for, download and install the software driver for your specific laptop model.

If updating the drive does not work, then it is very likely the headphone jack itself is damaged, or is no longer making proper contact with the motherboard.
