How do I reboot

Samsung galaxy 4 says no sim I have taken it out put battery back in and turned it on but still no sim recognised I have it gold side facing down help

Reboot is turn off and on, which you said you did. If the SIM isn't working, contact the carrier/service provider and talk with them. The SIM may need replacing.
