How do i replace the hing cover on a mx6445 gateway laptop

Actually, I doubt you can. I'm assuming you're talking about the pivot mechanism that allows the screen to fold flat. There's more going on inside that "hinge" than meets the eye. If I were you I'd be talking to Gateway about it although I suspect they will tell you to send it to them for an estimate to repair which I suspect will exceed the value of the laptop. Sorry.
