How do I stop my voice through speakers when I talk in mike?

When I speak through my mike I hear my raspy voice through my speakers. How can I stop this?

Is this a PC or an XBOX/PS4, etc?

If it's a PC, be sure to mute your microphone in the equalizer settings.

If it's a PS4/xbox, etc, then you sadly have no way of doing anything. Have you verified if all your cables are correctly connected?

No I do want to talk I just don't want my voice to come through the speakers. It is a PC, an old Gateway.

You still need to mute the microphone in the windows equalizer, or you will hear it in your speakers. Programs like Skype, Hangouts, etc will still work.

Double click on the Speaker icon, bottom right. Then click the small box on the bottom, next to microphone. It needs to be muted.
