How do i sync my hp ipaq with windows 7

I have an HP iPAQ running Windows Mobile 5 (build 14957.2.3.1). How do I get it to synchronise with my Windows 7 computer? When I put it into its cradle then it looks as if it is connecting, but nothing happens. Many thanks for any help.

Easy way to connect without any activesync software is: on your iPAQ,

1. go to your setting menu,
2. select connections,
3. select "activesync mode",
4. change the connection type from RNDIS Sync Mode to "USB Serial Sync Mode.

Use your iPAQ to PC interface cable with USB end connector and just connect straight to your PC. Follow the instructions that follow in order to connect. You will get an interface window which allows you to connect to your iPAQ. This is the best way yet... Good luck...
