Solved! HOw do I unlock my Toshiba laptop when not all keys are working to type in the password?

This problem just started today. I know there are fixes available but I need to get past the unlock password to try them. For instance I need the letter B to work to type my password and it is one of the keys not working.

Replace the keyboard, then the 'B' key will work and you can enter your password. You won't get any additional assistance in bypassing a password.

You can also plug in a USB keyboard and use it to type, or use the on screen keyboard. Either of those options should work.
