Question How do you check for shorts in a laptop?

I have a hp laptop that had a mosfet burn up. I replaced the mosfet but it still shorts out. Any reason for this?

Same way you would check in any computer, with a multimeter. As to where to check, need to have the system in front of the person to be able to look at it, can't say over the internet.
