Solved! How do you play a blue ray movie from my dv7-3078nr laptop?

When I try to connect my pc to my tv it starts to play then quits. i have a samsung lcd hdtv. I tried connecting with my hdmi cable.

Does the screen go black, yet the computer itself keeps running? If so, you'll have to enable the second display. Typically you do this via fn+f5 or through the display options.
