How is it safe to buy a refurbished iPhone like from Amazon since the data from the previous owner could still be on the device and accessed by you or because the previous owner's data could become mixed in with your data or accounts, even if the device is factory reset?

If the phone has been properly reset, then none of the previous owner's info will be on it. Should be fine, if purchasing directly from Amazon. If a 3rd party, read the fine print regarding returns/warranties and anything regarding the item itself.

what I am asking is how do people that buy refurbished iPhones not damage their eyes or skin if the Face ID parts like the dot projector or IR camera has been replaced with third-party or aftermarket Face ID parts and does not have the original genuine Face ID parts. Even Apple says on there, Face ID safety page that third-party Face ID parts can damage your eyes or skin.

How is that safe and how has no one damaged their vision? Every one I have asked online has said that aftermarket Face ID parts will not work because the Face ID parts have to be original and are tied to the motherboard. So you are saying the opposite basically.

maybe they didn't replace just the face id parts? and replace the both? and you use the word "can"/"could" damage your eyes or skin .

walking outside could damage your eye and skin too.
