How long will these laptops last generally?

I know this is a very relative question.. but
If i take care of it, and use it regularly, how long do you think will these laptops last?

(So my dad added 500 dollars to my budget, and hes suggesting it, should i get it?)

but im worried about the 500 dollar price difference, and will it last longer than the acer one or not in general? please help ty!

If you look after them, they'll last 5 years. But probably after 2 years you'll be wanting something better.

Maybe. but do you think that the ASUS one (the 1100 dollar one) will last longer than the acer (the 650 dollar one)? because of its stronger specs and all?

Yes. Same as a high performance PC will be more desirable longer than a low cost PC.

All right. care to pm me though if you know any other models which are better than this at the same price range? 1100 below? (I'm not a hardcore gamer so id prefer a longer lasting model better) or what can you reccomend? thank you!
