Hi guys.. im planning on buying a lenovo ideapad y510p, but just wondering how much would a desktop with same/similar specs cost?
Specs:
Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ processor (2.4 GHz, 3.40 GHz with TurboBoost, 6 MB cache)
Storage - 1 TB SATA, 5400 rpm, 24 GB SSD
16 GB DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750 2 GB GDDR5
15.6"LED 1920 x 1080

Thanks for your help!

Solution
a desktop like this would be much powerfull (as laptop GPU and CPU are power optimised, not performance optimised)

If i compare directly the Passmark scores of the 4700MQ, it's scoring 7933 while a 4670k scores 7532 and a 4770k 10122 so the comparable 4670k is only 220$

The GTX750 scores only 1635pts while a HD5770 scores 1680 and that's a 2 generation, 4-5years behind in tech, a 560TI is about the double of that (3530pts) and a 680/770 5714/6261 while the 7970 is at 5093 so a comparble card than this is a HD7750 that sells for 80$

16GB of ram would sell for about 70-80$, a 19 inch LCD isn't more than 100$ now (paid an ASUS 19 inch 80$ like 3-4 years ago)

a laptop HDD is slower than a desktop 7200RPM one and a 1TB caviar Blue...

a laptop HDD is slower than a desktop 7200RPM one and a 1TB caviar Blue (standard drive) is 75$

Total of the desktop: between 500 and 550$ with the LCD
