Hi guys, im looking for a programing laptop which will be my main work station, i have a budget of about 1200 $ (i live in israel and generaly laptops are more expensive here).
So ive found 2 laptops who i think will be good and im not sure what to pick,
First :
Asus VivoBook 17 X712FB-AU282T
ntel® Core™ i7-10510U Quad Core Processor, 8M Cache, 1.8 GHz up to 4.9 GHz
ram16GB (1 x 8GB DDR4 Onboard + 1 x 8GB DDR4 SDRAM), up to 16GB
HDD1TB (SATA) 5400rpm + 512GB M.2 SSD NVMe PCIe 3.0
Display17.3 Inch 16:9 FHD (1920x1080) LED Backlight 60Hz Anti-Glare Panel with 45% NTSC, 250nits
Graphics cardNVIDIA® GeForce® MX110, with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM
total price is about 1 306 $

but than i found a diffrent one which can also run mid level games so i got to thinking maybe i can find a good laptop in a decent price for gaming also? (not looking for rdr2 on max setting or anything, more of a strategy games kinda guy that usualy dont require high end specs)
Second:
LENOVO IDEAPAD L340-17IRH GAMING 81LL004NIV
Intel® Core™ i7-9750H Six Core Processor, 12M Cache, 2.60 GHz up to 4.50 GHz
16 gb ram
1tb ssd
17.3inch screen
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650, with 4GB GDDR5 Graphics card
total price is about 1 490 $ with an option for 32 gb of ram for another 100$

is the added price worth it? from online reviews ive found the gtx 1650 graphics card lacking, but i dont think i can find a laptop i can afford for my budget, i do have my desktop for gaming (a bit outdated)

Solution
The extra money to go to a 1650 from a 110 for games is worth it, you can't upgrade laptops really so need to get what you think you will want to use for the next several years not just what meets your minimum requirements today. It also has a 1tb ssd vs a 500 gb one, that is also a bonus.
