How to Change the Location in Your Fire TV Settings

Fire TV is the TV on the go, which means, you can take your Fire TV with you while you are visiting some other country or moving permanently. This entertainment stick has been designed to work in many countries other than home countries, so, if you have checked the name of your visiting country in the service providers’ list, you can rest assured that you will be able to enjoy your favorite shows non-stop.

If you are someone who is constantly on the move is making a permanent move to another country, here is a tutorial to help you change the location of your Fire TV. There are two simple methods of doing that, one is through your Amazon account on the web and another is through your Home Screen. We will discuss both below.

On Web
Step 1
Login to your Amazon account and go to ‘Your Account’ on the top right corner of your home screen.

Step 2
Click on ‘Your Account’
Click on the first option which says ‘Your Account’. This will open a page called ‘Manage Your Content and Devices’.

Step 3. Click on ‘Settings’ Tab
Go to the ‘Settings’ tab, which is the last tab on the page (right corner). In this tab, you will see your payment settings, country settings and more.

Step 4. Click ‘Change’
Under the country settings, click on ‘Change’ next to ‘Current Country’. Here, you can change your address and country.

Step 5. Click ‘Update’
Click on ‘Update’ after entering all your details. You have now successfully changed your location of Fire TV.

On Fire TV
Step 1. Go to Your ‘Home Screen’ and Click ‘Settings’
Click ‘Settings’ on your Home Screen. This will open up a list of settings of your Fire TV.

Step 2. Click on ‘Preferences’
In the ‘Settings’, click on ‘Preferences’. This will guide you to a list where you will find the option to change the location of your Fire TV.

In ‘Preferences’, click on ‘Locations’, to change your location.
