how to connect a samsung tv to sonos 5

We have a Samsung F6740 which as a DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL) connector and have been told that we can connect to a SONOS 5 that has a headphone socket and AUX in connector - there seems to be some confusion over which cable?

You will need one of these:
http/www.parts-express.com/parts-express-dac-digital-to-analog-converter-%2851-compatible%29--180-999
and optical and analog audio cables. You will need to use the Sonos volume control as the optical out is not controlled by the TV remote. This will also let you send the TV audio output to any other Sonos components in the house.
