HOW to connect my technics integrated amp to my Yamaha receiver

Yamaha (PREOUT) ---> TECHNICS.

If preout available on Yamaha.

Assuming that you want to use the tuner in the receiver then connect the tape record output of the Yamaha to any input on the Technics except phono. If you have an use the preamp out that will work but the volume control of the Yamaha will affect the volume of the Technics. Tape record out is fixed so it's simpler.

Integrated amps tape out into avreceivers headphone jack. That's the only way I could get it to work. I have a jbl integrated amp. Oknyo av receiver. I've heard it's a bad idea but it works. Someone let me Know if I'm making a mistake

You can't connect two outputs to each other. If you mean connect the headphone out to the tape in then that would work. Using a speaker to line level converter would work better.
