How my VCR DVD player to my element 55 inch TV

Need more details. What is the model number of the VCR/DVD Player and what outputs does it have and what is the model number of the Element TV and what inputs does it have?

The VCR?DVD is a Magnavox model #MWD2205. It has the cords with the red, white and yellow ends. there is also plug in cords. The Element TV also had the connection for the red, white and yellow ends. I plugged them in, but what else do I need to do?

You shouldn't need anything more than that. Red/White/Yellow is the connection called, "Composite". The only thing you should need to do is change your television source input to that setting, "Composite" and you should get both image and sound.
