How to connect vu TV model 45 CU 119 to Sony HT rt 40 no audio from speakers

That TV doesn't seem to have any audio outputs.
If it has an HDMI input labeled ARC then connect the Sony HDMI to it. You will have to turn ARC on in the TV menu. You may also have to turn the TV speakers off.
If the TV doesn't have ARC then you would have to open the TV and connect a speaker to line level converter to the wires the go to the internal TV speakers and connect that to the Sony aux input. Any external sources could be connected to the Sony directly or with an HDMI input selector with audio extraction but that won't work with the TV tuner or apps.
