How to connect TV with HiFi music system

I have Vu smart TV purchase recently.
I want to connect this with Sony HiFi music system MHC-GNZ88D, ....
Can you please tell me which cable (full description) I need to buy please.

It looks like the only audio input on that Sony is the Red/White ports shown on the middle left of the back of the unit -- http://audio.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/sony/mhc_gnz88d.html?p=82

You will have to provide the model number of the VU TV to determine if there is a way to connect to those ports.

Would like to know which type//model converter would be okay to use optical audio output and connect to my Sony hif....

Is the below model okay...

BlueRigger 3.5mm to RCA (2) Stereo Audio Cable (12 Feet / 3.6 Meters).

Also tell me what cable to use to connect TV to HiFi usng headphone port.
