In Windows search Disk Management and you have to create a separate disk partition (basically a virtual division of a hard drive) to install your second OS on. Once complete, turn off the computer and when it turns on you have to enter the BIOS rather than booting to Windows. In the BIOS, find the Boot Priority settings and select the type in which you will install the second operating system, and set it to first. Once complete, reboot the computer again or simply exit the BIOS with your disk (probably) you will be installing the new hard drive from. It should boot from the disk and prompt you to install the operating system either alongside Windows or over Windows. Choose alongside, and it should properly install.
