You can make an app take up your entire screen on your Mac with a single click. Most apps support the feature, and it's an easy way to take advantage of your screen real estate.
Here, we show you two ways to do expand apps into full-screen mode on a Mac.
1st Method:
1. At first open any of your apps. Here we will use Safari.
2. Click on the ‘arrows’ in the top-right corner of that app to expand it in full-screen view. In OS X Yosemite, click the green button on the top-left corner.
3. For returning to standard view, just move the mouse pointer to the top-right corner (same place as previous step) of the screen & hover over that place, then the arrows will show up. Now, Click the ‘arrows’ & that’s how you can return to the standard view.
4. You can move between windows in full-screen mode, to do that, swipe left or right on your desired direction on a Magic mouse or trackpad.
5. You can switch from a full-screen app to another, to do that just swipe left or right on your desired direction with three or four fingers on the trackpad.
2nd Method:
Here we will show you how to use a keyboard shortcut to expand apps in full-screen mode on a Mac.
1. At first open any of your apps.
2. Press the following key combination on keyboard- ‘Control+Command+F’ on an open app to expand it.
3. Do the same thing to return to the standard view.
